(CQNEWS) Chongqing has been in a rapid growth period by domestic investment and become the center for eastern developed cities’ investment to the west area. The Analysis Report on Chongqing’s Domestic Investment Introduction in the First Half of 2008 shows that the total domestic investment in the first half of 2008 reached 31.076 billion yuan, exceeding the overall investment amount in 2006. 

　 The 31-billion-yuan or more domestic investment mainly goes to the real estate industry. It has utilized domestic investment of 12.9 billion yuan in the first half of 2008, twice as that of the same period in 2007, accounting for 41.5% of the gross of Chongqing.  

　 Guangdong Province, Shanghai and Zhejiang Province boast increasing enthusiasm for investment in Chongqing. Their investment accounts for nearly half of the total amount, which means that eastern developed regions have provided the main source for Chonqing’s domestic investment.
