The 7-kilometer-long Nanbaidong Tunnel of Chongqing-Lichuan Railway (Yuli Railway), located in Fengdu County of Chongqing, has been completed recently. It is reported that Yuli Railway is expected to be completed and put into use at the end of 2013.

As a key part of Shanghai-Wuhan-Chongqing-Chengdu High-speed Railway, Yuli Railway with total length and designed speed of 260.4 kilometers and 200 kilometers per hour, is from Chongqing North Railway Station via Yubei, Jiangbei, Changshou and Fuling districts, Fengdu and Shizhu counties of Chongqing to Lichuan, Hubei Province.

It is said that Chongqing-Lichuan, Chongqing-Hunan, Chongqing-Huaihua, Sichuan-Huaihua and some other railways will be the main transportation channels from west to east China in the future. (CQNEWS) (Translated by Liu Kan)
