Chongqing forcasts hotter summer this year

CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- The average temperature of Chongqing is 1.5℃ higher than that of previous years as of March 19, 2013, while the rain precipitation is 40% less than the normal according to Chongqing Climate Center on March 21. Meanwhile, the average duration of sunshine is 52.2 hours more than the normal.

The average temperature reaches 10.2℃ up to March 19, much higher than the normal 8.7℃. And this temperature is another highest value since 1951, only second to that in 1987.

Besides the high temperature, the rainfall is also 40% less than the normal for the same period, especially in West Chongqing, while the precipitations of Rongchang and Dazu etc. are less than 25mm.
