CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- The African wild animal specimens donated by Mr. Kenneth Behring, chairman of Global Health & Education Foundation, arrived in Chongqing on March 6, 2013. The specimens are now under inspection and acceptance in Chongqing Museum of Natural History.

The wild animal specimens include 137 items of 44 species, like African elephant, giraffe, African lion, hippo, damaliscus pygargus (Latin), Arabic baboon, and chlorocebus pygerythrus (Latin, which is vervet in English).

These specimens are of great value that 32 items of 12 species are recorded in the appendix of Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES).
