CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- A total investment of 100 billion yuan will be injected into 26 key tourism projects in Chongqing, according to Chongqing Municipal Government on June 6, 2013.

There are 106 major tourism projects under construction in Chongqing, with a total investment of over 20 billion yuan. And projects like the upgrading project of Wild Animal World, Tourist Attraction of Dazu World Cultural Heritage Site, etc,. Are under smooth progress. Meanwhile, the upgrading and reconstruction of the 6 outstanding scenic spots including the Three Gorges of the Yangtze River, the Heavenly Pit and Earthly Ravine (Tiankeng & Difeng) of Baidicheng, the Xiannv Mountains, the Fishing Town, the Dazu Rock Carvings, etc. will be completed in 2013.

Tourists who stay overnight in Chongqing will reach 128 million and the gross tourism income will amount to 300 billion yuan in 2017.
