CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- A Pilatus PC-12NG plane successfully completed the full-load landing and take-off tests at Deqen Shangri-La Airport in Yunnan Province on April 12, 2013, indicating a farewell to no take-off or landing capability of domestic single-turboprop plane in the high-altitude aerodromes. Moreover, this model with outstanding features will be produced in Liangjiang New Area of Chongqing before the end of 2013.

The Chinese production base of Swiss Pilatus Aircraft Ltd. was put into construction in Longxing Industrial Park, Liangjiang New Area, Chongqing at the end of 2012. At the same time, Pilatus Assembly and Delivery Center started construction at Jiangbei International Airport. Liangjiang New Area will become the production base of all series of Pilatus PC-6, PC-12, and Pilatus PC-12NG (an upgrading from PC-12).

Pilatus's projects in the aviation industrial park of the new area will form the annual production capacity of 100 PC-6 planes and 50 PC-12 planes upon their full completions. And the new area will become the most important global production base for Pilatus in the future.
