CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- Another south-north auto cooperation project bloomed in Chongqing on heels of BAIC YINXIANG – a joint venture invested by Beijing Automotive Group Co., Ltd. (BAIC) and Chongqing Yinxiang Motorcycle Group Co., Ltd. (YINXIANG). Jinbei Haixing X30 light bus made its debut in Chongqing on July 3, 2013, which was the first auto type cooperated by Huachen Auto Group Co., Ltd. (HUACHEN) and Chongqing Shineray Motorcycle Co., Ltd. (SHINERAY) in the real sense. It is estimated that a mass production will be carried out in SHINERAY manufacturing base of Hangu in August.

Auto manufacturing projects will be successively moved to the new base in Fuling as early as the end of 2014, said Qi Yumin, HUACHEN’s board director. SHINERAY and HUACHEN signed a cooperation agreement on June 14, defining a joint investment of 4.5 billion yuan, and a project of 300,000 sets of autos & 300,000 engines operated in Fuling, which is indicated to yield an annual output value of 10 billion yuan. Among them, the 1st phase of the project entailing an annual production of 100,000 sets of autos is predicted to be up and running at the end of the next year.

In succession to the cooperation between Yu’an Group and Dongfeng Motor Corporation, and that of BAIC YINXIANG, HUACHEN SHINERAY is the third joint project in Chongqing that is collaborated by the local private enterprise and non-local state-owned auto corporation.
