CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- Shancheng Watch, a once glorious made-in-China brand, is expected to return to the market in late 2013 from Dianjiang Watch & Clock Industrial Park.

In accordance with the project planning of Western China (Chongqing) Horologe & Precision Industrial Park, Dianjiang County has been confirmed as the key base of this project. In the 1-square kilometer Dianjiang Watch & Clock Industrial Park (presently under construction), the first project -- Hong Kong Precision Watch & Clock MFG Co., Ltd. has contracted to set up its watch production base in Dianjiang. The project has already started construction and will yield an annual output value of 12 billion yuan and create 3,000 employment opportunities.

Shancheng Watch, which has not been in production for 15 years, will also recommence production. The new Shancheng Watch, still in the R&D process, will be divided into diverse classes, mainly the mid- and high-class watches valued at thousands of yuan, and collectible watches as expensive as tens of thousands of yuan.
