CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- CKE, Fuddruckers and other 6 chains have chosen Chongqing as their first retail locations in China. The USA-Chongqing Chain Operation Cooperation Meeting, co-sponsored by Chongqing Foreign Trade and Economic Relations Commission, and The Consulate General of The United States in Chengdu, was held in Chongqing on November 4th, 2013. Those chains negotiated with 27 local enterprises, such as CSC (Country Style Chicken) and Sudajie.

The 8 American chains are as follows: Wing Zone, CKE, Right at Home, Rita’s, Fuddruckers, Round Table Pizza, Jani-King, and Sotheby’s. These chains have not yet marched into the Chinese market and Chongqing is the first city in mainland China that will host their businesses.

Chongqing boasts huge potential and an emerging market. Compared to such first-tier cities as Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou, they will have more choices in site selection and cheaper rent, with smaller operation risks, according to Andrew Gately, an officer of the Business Department of the USA.
