BEIJING, Nov. 5 (Xinhuanet) -- Dozens of exquisite cultural relics from home and abroad will be displayed at the 2013 Beijing•China Cultural Relics International Expo to be held from Nov. 15 to 18 in Beijing.
The expo, an important part of the 8th China (Beijing) International Cultural & Creative Industry Expo, will display a large number of exquisite Buddhist statues from different historical periods, as well as about 100 extremely delicate pieces of china produced by ancient imperial porcelain kilns, mostly during the Ming and Qing dynasties (1368-1911).
Overseas exhibitors from countries including the U.S, France, the U.K., Germany and Japan, will also showcase precious cultural relics and antiques at the expo.
Auction previews by world-leading auction houses, including Sotheby's, Poly Auction, China Guardian and Beijing Council, will be held during this period. The event will also include lectures and high-end auctions of antiques and art works.
The expo will open at the National Agriculture Exhibition Center (New venue), as well as two sub-venues: Capital Museum and the Beijing Tianbaorunde Antique Fine Art Exhibition Center.
The expo, first held in 2007, is co-hosted by the Beijing Municipal Administration of Cultural Heritage and the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Beijing Sub-council (CCPIT Beijing).
