CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- Webasto, the largest global automotive roof system producer, and one of the Top 100 auto parts suppliers, formally put their new plant into production in Chongqing New North Zone on November 8th, 2013. It will be the largest domestic production base with an annual productivity of 1 million sets of automotive roof.

Covering an area of 16,000m2 and invested with nearly 200 million yuan, it will be a specialized production base of the traditional sliding roof and the panorama roof in West China, and will provide comprehensive roof solutions for such auto producers as CHANGAN Ford, Chongqing CHANGAN, FAW-Volkswagen and VOLVO.

In 2014 another 2 new plants are expected to open in Shenyang and Wuhuan, Webasto therefore will have 10 production bases in China. (Translated by Chen Siyan, Fathom Language Limited)
