Chongqing time-honored brands to make comebacks

CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- Chongqing starts to promote local time-honored brands intensively as from November 18th, 2013 by means of online-offline interaction.

Chongqing has 113 time-honored brands, but only 93 of them are currently in operation, covering fields such as catering, food processing and artware. In addition to bad management, the lack of popularity and promotional channels are the main problems of these brands, according to the related principal of Chongqing Commerce Commission.

The promotional activity is to last for 3 months and lay emphasis on online promotion. Two special advertising parts, “Time-honored Brands” and “Specialty New Brands”, are set on appointed site with the aim of promoting local time-honored brands intensively and making them be fully known by the citizens. During the event, the citizens can vote for the brand they like and choose a Favorite Chongqing Time-honored Brand.

What is more, Chongqing is to start online sales together with many well-known local brands with the theme of “Chongqing Time-honored Brand” in January 2014. The offline sales in the core business zones of the main city with the theme of “Chongqing Time-honored Brand, Shopping Carnival” are to be held. The citizens can join in.
