Niu Yirui

CHONGQING (CQNEWS) “I want to be the Mo Girl and be remembered for my dream.” This is the manifesto from Niu Yirui, a girl from Chongqing. With a height of 172cm and weight of 47kg, Niu stood out for her charming appearance from the mass of applicants, who are competing for a role in The Treasure Map, a movie adapted from Mo Yan’s novel.

Niu has been learning ballet since she was a child and studied at Chongqing Normal University. In 2011, Niu was awarded the honorable mention in the Miss Chongqing Pageant. When talking about the role, Niu said she took part in the selection by just being herself and hoping to win a chance to demonstrate what she is like.
