CHONGQING (CQNEWS) Chongqing completed the construction of seven expressways in 2013, with a newly opened mileage of 403km, according to Chongqing Transport Commission on January 8., 2014.

Since the first expressway, Nanfu (Nanchuan-Fuling) Expressway, was opened for traffic in September 2013, six other expressways have been successively completed, Fufeng (Fuling-Fengdu), Fengshi (Fengdu-Shizhu), Nanwan (Nanchuan-Wansheng), main urban area to Fuling, Chongqing section of Yurong (Chongqing-Chengdu) Expressway, and Fengxi (Fengjie-Wuxi).

The city has built a total highway mileage of 2,312km and eleven interprovincial passageways. Chongqing will therefore become a municipality in which the residents are able to reach any district or county within four hours. (Translated by Chen Siyan, Fathom Language Limited)
