Children from SW China's Acrobatic Art Troupe

Yang Zhenxi, the youngest learner in the Chongqing Sanxia Acrobatic Art Troupe, practises during a training in Chongqing, southwest China's Municipality, Jan. 15, 2014. Showing up at the training room around 6:30 a.m. everyday, some 20 children, all members of the Chongqing Sanxia Acrobatic Art Troupe, start practising the contortion, splits and handstand, and every of these practices take them at least 30 minutes. Children loving acrobatics in the Three Gorges reservoir area are recruited by the troupe annually for further trainings, ahead of whom is a five-year-long basic training. Moreover, a fantastic performance even take one year to turn out to be shown on stage, making less than 70 percent of the learners stay still. Facing the unstable learners, the troupe started to providing accommodation and performance opportunities to them. Things have turned better, as some 430 shows have been successfully presented in the United States in 2013. The troupe has generated many acrobatic talents who won in various competition at home and abroad since its found before half a century ago. (Xinhua/Liu Chan)
