People parading in Ciqikou Ancient Town, Chongqing

CHONGQING (CQNEWS) Ciqikou Ancient Town is a busy area in Chongqing’s main urban area and the temple fair during Spring Festival adds to the jollification.

Besides traditional snacks like sugar-coated haws on a stick (Bingtang Hulu) and Guan Yu’s sugar sword (Tang Guandao*), visitors can also sit by one of those stalls and paint gypsum sculptures. Yang Hao, nine years old, chose to paint a lovely pig.

The temple fair will last until the fifteenth day of the first lunar month, namely February 14., 2014.
