Chongqing Airport witnesses start of peak summer travel season

As this year's summer vacation begins, Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport has embraced the start of peak summer travel season.

Chongqing Airport has handled approximately 370,000 passengers since the beginning of July, up 15 percent over the last year according to a report released two days ago. The average number of outbound tourists at the airport has reportedly exceeded 20,000 per day.

According to plans, the airport will open several new direct air routes, including flights to Borakay Islands, Bali and Samui Islands, during the peak summer travel season.
