2014-07-11 10:00:31
The city of Liuzhou has turned its attention to increasing the utilization of forested land to give its economy a boost this year.
Its forested land is expected to have an output value, in the first half of this year, of 1.43 billion yuan ($228.9 million), for a year-on-year growth of 16 percent, and accounting for 47.6 percent of the annual amount.
Liuzhou's government is pushing economic development by the processing of forest products, and by helping farmers plant and raise pigs more.
