CHONGQING (CQNEWS) On July 15th, 2014, the Chongqing Environment & Sanitation Holding Co., Ltd. indicated that the construction of Xiyong Garbage Transferring Station, with an area of 13 Mu (about 8,667m²), has been completed and in service. Its the first domestic garbage station that combines the collection and transferring of domestic and kitchen garbage.

With an investment of over 50 million yuan, the Xiyong Garbage Transferring Station has introduced advanced and demountable vertical full-close tanks from abroad. It can collect, transfer and handle kitchen garbage in an effective a relatively clean fashion. In addition, owing to the new application of large-scale garbage tank trucks, transporting cost have decreased by 50%.

The collection and transferring power of the station is around 500 tons per day, 160 tons of which is kitchen garbage. The service scope includes College Town, Xiyong Micro-electronic Park and the western area of Shapingba. This kind of new station is to be gradually integrated into the whole of Chongqing.
