CHONGQING (CQNEWS) Two years ago to date, the 52nd Miss International competition in Chongqing sparked a famous debate on beauty and ugliness. Girls winning the first three prizes became the centre of this lively debate and on 15th July, Youth.com, a movie adapted from this event, premiered in Chongqing and will be projected at cinemas nationwide on 29th August.

The film was produced by Ma Yong, a level 1 national director. Performers include the competition’s champion Yan Meng, third place finalist Tao Yujie, actress Gu Lina, and actor Qu Guoqiang.

The crew started shooting in September 2012 at local locations such as Nanbin Road, Jiefangbei and the Grand Theatre, spending over one year from initial shooting to post production. (Translated by Chen Siyan, Fathom Language Limited)
