CHONGQING (CQNEWS) Recently, Amazon China issued a mid-year book ranking while also creating a ‘China Loves Reading’ city list based on sales volume of both paper and e-books in the first half of 2014. Results stated that Chongqing ranked an impressive third behind Ningbo and Wuhan.

The list reflected Amazon’s online data in relation to the proportion of paper and e-books sales on the site. Ningbo, Hefei, Chongqing, Jinan, Hangzhou, Nanjing, Suzhou, Qingdao, Changsha, and Zhengzhou made the top ten.

Amazon’s data shows that readers from Chongqing focus mainly on the literary fiction and management with the most popular genre being children’s books at 38% of all book sales. (Translated by Li Jiali, Fathom Language Limited)
