There was a meeting between the vice-mayor of Xi’an, Shaanxi province, Han Song, and the chairman of Singapore’s Vibrant Group, Eric Khua Kian Keong, at the Xi’an International Trade and Logistics Park, on July 15, to discuss an e-commerce distribution and settlement center.

Li Pingwei, a park manager, who took part in the meeting with Yang Mingrui, explained the park’s e-commerce projects and its role as a provincial demonstration park, and its support facilities for e-commerce and its famous e-commerce enterprises, such as JD, Gome and Alibaba.

Kian Keong commented favorably about the park’s rapid development and planning and said the group plan to put 400 million yuan ($64.48 million) into it and cooperate to build a modern e-commercial distribution and settlement center.

Yang described its Railway Container Center, Bonded Zone, Highway Port, and complete infrastructure as a good investment environment. He added that Xi’an, China’s biggest inland port, will also improve its position internationally thanks to the Silk Road Economic Belt.

Han said he wanted to encourage the group to apply their management and technology skills at the center and that he hoped to attract more Singapore companies to the park, and then he accompanied the guests in a visit to China South City, a Comprehensive Bonded Zone, Railway Container Center and the park’s planning hall.

The Vibrant Group Ltd, formerly Freight Links Express Holdings Ltd, is a Singapore enterprise engaging in logistics and commercial services, and real estate.
