CHONGQING (CQNEWS) On Wednesday, the eight-day Thailand Fruits Festival kicked off at the Lotus market in Chongqing.

Zhuang Yanlan, a consul from the commercial department of the Royal Thai Consulate in Chengdu stated that, with the exception of a number of new products such as the narcissus mango, dozens of Thais fruits will be sold at special discounts.

China currently approves the import of 23 different kinds of Thai fruit. Durian, mangosteen, longan, Huangdi banana, grapefruit, tamarind and mango are all common fruits found at Chongqing’s supermarkets and fruit stores, among which durian, mangosteen, and longan rank top three in sales.
