CHONGQING (CQNEWS)  The Chongqing Municipal Commission of Urban-Rural Development on 25th July at the second quarter press conference stated that expansion of the Zhongliang Mountain Tunnel will be due to start next month. The end result will transform the tunnel into a bidirectional, eight lane highway, and is hoped to be completed by 2016. Another tunnel project through Zhongliang Mountain, the Tuzhu Tunnel, is planned to begin next year. It is hoped that completion of the two projects will ease congestion around the Zhongliang Mount area, and allow for a better flow of traffic. (Translated by Li Jiali, Fathom Language Limited)
