Chongqing (CQNEWS) On Tuesday, the Chongqing Economy and Informationization Commission, along with HP, signed a ‘Memorandum of Cooperation’ agreement in an effort to promote Chongqing’s big data industry development.

According to the memorandum, HP intend to set up a big data institution in Chongqing, specializing in the development and operation of big data products, cooperation in the industry’s operation base, technology support, and the construction of big data ecosystems, with expected output of one billion yuan based on the total scale of construction.

HP also intends to establish a national ‘HP Autonomy’ application and development service platform in Chongqing, aiding partners in big data application, with the aim of growing into a big data industrial chain containing over 100 application and service enterprises. The plan also hopes to develop the big data industry’s base of operations, including the phase construction of 5,000 to 20,000 servers, establishing a national big data application solution centre and cooperating with Chongqing-based colleges and concerned institutions on cultivating more than 5,000 senior technical personnel and senior management personnel each year.
