Shennongjia in Hubei Province

CHONGQING (CQNEWS) On 29^th August, a direct bus from Chongqing to Shennongjia, Hubei was officially put into service.

It takes around six hours to complete the one-way trip of 580km. From 2^nd September onwards, there will be three regular buses each week providing a number of tourist routes. After the completion of the Yiba Expressway, a bus will run every day.

Named after the legend of Shen Nung, (a herbal master who lived in the ancient times) the Shennongjia Forest Region, a largely untouched and protected wilderness, is famous for its indigenous cultures and natural ecotourism areas such as the Yanzi Cave and Jingya ski field.
