CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- On Wednesday, Chongqing's Geographic Information Center, along with the Chongqing Geographic Map Bookstore, issued the 'Chongqing State-owned Forest Farm Map'. A total of 75 state-owned forest farms, directly supervised by Chongqing forestry departments, have been marked on the map. The map includes Chongqing's largest forest farm Hongchiba, in Wuxi County, at 20,273.8 hectares in addition to the smallest, Ma'an Mountain farm in Tongnan County at 188.6 hectares, less than a hundredth of Hongchiba.

State-owned forest farms are the basis for national ecological security and the origins of high-quality food products. As a famous mountain and river city, Chongqing has a vast forest area along with a perfect climate. In 2013, Chongqing's recorded forest coverage reached 42.1%.
