CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- On 5^th September, the town hall of Germany's Dusseldorf could be seen surrounded by red, waving flags displaying the characters ‘庆典'(celebrations), marking the beginning of the country's ‘China Festival'. A Chongqing cultural delegation will provide local people with a feast of Chongqing culture, including folk music and Sichuan opera, in addition to intangible cultural performances and a Chongqing photo exhibition.

Chongqing and Dusseldorf have enjoyed a unique relationship for over ten years now. As a result of the cultural exchanges carried out by the Chongqing cultural delegation between Chongqing and Dusseldorf, local citizens have become more and more familiar with Chinese culture and tradition. The constant environment of Chinese characters intends to create an authentic atmosphere in which locals can meet Chongqing artists and performers to exchange their cultures.

The event, hosted by the Chongqing cultural delegation, is to kick off on 6^th September. Aside from cultural performances and exhibitions, the delegation will meet with the cultural bureau of Dusseldorf to exchange ideas for further cooperation between the two cities.
