As the largest of its kind in southwest China, the Chongqing Greenland Ice Festival officially began in Dadukou District on 13th September.

A number of ice sculptures including green giants, polar bear cubs and children’s castles are on display at the festival. In addition, visitors are able to experience a whole host of amusement facilities such as ice bars and ice slides free of charge.

All the ice sculptures exhibited at the festival were created by a team led by two internationally recognized ice engraving artists, Wei Qinghua and Xu Yuping. The festival is set to last till 12th October. (CQNEWS) (Translated by Liu Kan)
