Xi’an Expo Park puts its ’treasures’ on display

Xi’an Expo Park opened it Treasure Museum, in Xi’an, Shaanxi province to the public, on Sept 13, with thousands of iteme on display, including fossils, minerals, gemstones, Qing Dynasty (1644-1911) jade pieces, Hongshan jade, calligraphy, and paintings, and many other categories.

It even has a “Jurassic Exploration” exhibit of dinosaur fossils, for example, from the six-meter-long Dsungaripterus Young, the one-meter-long Psittacosaurus, to 17 eggs. It also contains models of Tyrannosaurus Rex, Carnotaurus and Stegosaurus, and it plans to ask archaeologists to come talk and explain the findings for visiting students.

Admission on opening day was free, but you have to buy a ticket now, however, one yuan from each ticket sold will be given to the Shaanxi Disability Association. The open hours are 9:30 am to 5:30 pm autumn and winter.
