CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- On 10th September, Liu Kaiquan, a miner from Chongqing Energy, found a small injured black bird on the way back from work. Although some believed the bird to be an eagle due to its mouth shape and others an owl, Liu and his neighbors discovered it to be an accipiter nisus, a second-grade nationally protected bird of prey.

Liu has decided to take in the bird while it recovers, feeding it two meals everyday in both the morning and evening, eating 50g or so fresh lean meat per meal.

Liu stated that while he is surfing the Internet, the accipiter nisus stands aside quietly to accompany him. He has made the decision to release the bird when it fully recovers. (Translated by Li Jiali, Fathom Language Limited)
