CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- On the evening of 22nd September, Flora Fraser, a British biographer, visited Chongqing to meet her Chinese readers, exchanging ideas with over 50 women from all walks of life.

As a reputable modern British biographer, Flora Fraser studied European history and became especially devoted to the research of female historical figures, resulting in several acclaimed works such as 'The Unruly Queen: The Life of Queen Caroline', and 'That Hamilton Woman, the Story of a Historic Love Affair'.

Her new book 'Pauline Bonaparte: Venus of Empire' eludes upon the figure of Pauline Bonaparte, Napoleon's sister. "Flora Fraser depicts Pauline Bonaparte as similar to our Chongqing women. After reading the book, my perception certainly changed on a lot of issues," stated Hong Ying, a known Chongqing writer. (Translated by Li Jiali, Fathom Language Limited)
