Xi’an pushes the cotton industry forward

At a meeting on Cotton Policy Analysis and Imported Cotton, at the Xi’an Bonded Zone in the city of Xi’an, Shaanxi province, on Sept 26, there were textile industry experts and representatives from the cotton business on hand to discuss every aspect of cotton, at the only site to discuss this and other agricultural topics in Northwest China.

One zone official from the commodity trade center, opened the meeting by explaining the center’s operations and cotton imports and exports. This was followed by experts and entrepreneurs, such as Zhang Songjia, of chinacotton.org, speaking on China’s cotton policies and imports, which had a lot of business representatives taking part.

One company representative, in expressing a desire for more meetings of this kind, said, “The analysis and this meeting give us a lot of information about the cotton trade, and a chance for enterprises to improve their communication and cooperation.”
