CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- The first vehicle import port in western China, the Chongqing Railway Vehicle Import Port officially passed assessments initiated by the China Customs, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Ministry of Commerce and General Administration of Quality Supervision and Inspection and Quarantine. The news also marked the Chongqing Railway Vehicle Import Port's official start of operations.

Vehicle import ports are channels set up by the state for vehicle imports and are also a gateway to the outside world and international cargo transport hub. The Chongqing Railway Vehicle Import Port is the only vehicle import port to pass these assessments in South-West China.
