CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- On the afternoon of 22nd October, a public benefit program – the Metropolitan Finance Library settled in Chongqing, making over 2,500 books on finance available to the public as well as the construction of new teaching facilities. These facilities have been donated to Bashu Secondary School, Nankai Middle School and Lijia Middle School.

The Metropolitan Finance Library is a public benefit project, jointly launched by MetLife and the China Friendship Foundation for Peace and Development, with appropriation from the MetLife Foundation. Targeted at creating more opportunities for Chongqing’s youth to gain an interest in finance, the project was initiated in June 2014 covering 4 domestic cities, Harbin, Guangzhou, Chongqing and Guiyang.
