CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- The opening ceremony of the 8th China-ASEAN International Touring Assembly & China-ASEAN Journalists Rally was held at Nanbin Road on October 22nd.

The China-ASEAN International Touring Rally started in 2006. Not only a sporting event, it is also an international exchange activity among China and ASEAN countries.

This year’s assembly began in Nanning City of Guangxi on October 17th and is the first time to be held in China. The gathering consists of 24 vehicles with 100 personnel, including 30 foreign drivers from Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Burma, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.

The route covers Guangxi, Guizhou, Chongqing, Sichuan, Shaanxi, Shanxi and Henan, approximately 5,000km, and lasts for 15 days. The assembly consists of five rally racing, one fixed speed and one kart racing event. (Translated by Li Li, Fathom Language Limited)
