Li Li communicating with the students as a volunteer teacher in Mauritius

CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- In order to pursue a different college life to most, Li Li, a senior student of the College of Applied Foreign Languages of the Sichuan International Studies University, decided to be a volunteer teacher in Mauritius of Africa for one year this January.

Li Li, a lively and talkative girl, will soon go back to Chongqing after six months in Mauritius.

She stated that she was reluctant to leave Mauritius and had been moved deeply during her time there. When she first reached the school, a group of students came to her and said smilingly: "I love you, Miss Li Li", upon which her heart melted, like an ice-cream in the sun.

In her spare time, Li Li would go to the local markets, where she could communicate with the locals, understand more about their lives and appreciate their joys.

When asked if she was worried about the Ebola crisis in Africa, Li Li said not at all, further stating that the Ebola virus was spread by direct contact with the blood, urine or body fluids of the infected, and that it was not spread through the air. She also stated that "not a single Ebola patient had been found so far in Mauritius." (Translated by Tan Tianqin, Fathom Language Limited)
