Liuzhou adds new air route to Shenzhen

The inaugural flight from the city of Liuzhou, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, to the city of Shenzhen, next door to Hong Kong, on Oct 26, went smoothly, with two flights now making the journey every day.

The new flight uses an Airbus A320, which seats 180, and departs Shenzhen’s Bao’an International Airport at 6:25 am and arrives at Lotus Liuzhou Airport at 8:00 am, then takes off from Liuzhou at 9:25 am, reaching Shenzhen at 10:55.

Liuzhou is now planning Guiyang-Liuzhou-Jieyang (Shantou) and Liuzhou-Beijing flights and to encourage others, such as Qingdao-Zhengzhou-Liuzhou and Xi’an-Liuzhou-Sanya, which will give Liuzhou a total of 12 different flights, to Beijing; Shanghai; Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Jieyang (Shantou), and Zhuhai, Guangdong province; Chongqing; Chengdu in Sichuan province; Kunming, Yunnan province; Xiamen, Fujian province; Guiyang, Guizhou province; Wuhan, Hubei province; Haikou and Sanya, Hainan Island; Qingdao, Shandong province; Xi’an, Shaanxi province; and Zhengzhou, Henan province.

The new Liuzhou-Shenzhen route brings much-needed convenience to local people and is expected to promote the development of Liuzhou in relation to surrounding areas in trade and culture.
