1st national karst park to be built in Nanchuan

CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- The application delivered by Shanwangping Scenic Area of Nanchuan District to build a national karst park was approved by the State Forestry Administration. After completion, it will be the first national karst park in China.

The contents of the national park include 733.3 hectares of karst landscape, including an ecological stone forest of the scenic area. The park boasts such natural ecological landscapes as stone formations, caves and immense forests, among which the stone formations and caves are of typical karst landscapes.
