CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- On domestically issued stamps with the theme of Chongqing, bridges and the Three Gorges have been the most photographed elements. On November 19th, Chongqing Geomatics Center and Chongqing Geographical Map Bookstore released the 'Chongqing Map of Stamps'.

According to statistics, Chongqing's 'bridges' have appeared on stamps six times, including the Meiyao Bridge of Chengdu-Chongqing Railway, Baishatuo Railway Bridge of Chongqing-Guizhou Railway, Jiuxigou Bridge of Sanjian Township Fengdu, Yangtze River Highway Bridge of Wanxian County and several bridges connecting the two-river and four-shore of Yuzhong Peninsula.

The Three Gorges has been favored most by the stamps given its beautiful scenery.

In addition, among the Chongqing-themed stamps, the largest par value goes to the 'Chicken Woman' stamp, the fourth stamp of the set of Ordinary 24 'Chinese Grotto Art' stamps (the set was issued by Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications on October 20th, 1988). This stamp is themed as the ‘Chicken Woman’ in Dazu Baodingshan Grotto, with a par value of up to 20 yuan, much higher than any other stamp of its kind.
