Denmark's royal chef in town

At the InterContinental Chongqing, John Kofod, a Danish royal chef, was showing how to make Danish salmon.

CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- On November 22nd, Anja Villefrance, the Consul General of Denmark in Chongqing, brought the country's fashion and food to the city as the 'Danish fashion and food' event officially kicked off.

In addition to the Danish food, Anja also invited the Denmark's royal chef - John Kofod personally to Chongqing, who cooked award winning dishes to a live audience. John Kofod, a new-comer to the city, was greatly impressed by Chongqing, "the city's market hall is so amazing and I really love it."

John stated that he especially visited the Xuetianwan Market for more than two hours, where he found amazing spices and peppers. John runs a famous Danish restaurant steeped in over 200 years of history, and plans to develop new dishes combining the Danish and Chinese cuisine, in which the Sichuan pepper shall be amongst the seasonings.
