The dean of the University of Massachusetts Boston’s educational leadership dept, in the United States, paid a visit to Northwest Normal University, in the city of Lanzhou, Gansu province, on Dec 24, and reached an agreement with the school on a joint education program for postgraduates.

The agreement, signed by Yan Wenfan, the visiting dean, allows Northwest Normal to select postgrads for the UMass educational leadership program, in Boston, for a year of study. The postgrads are expected to complete all the work for a master's degree in education management, from UMass.

The two universities had already established contact back at the beginning of 2014, when Northwest Normal selected four postgrads for an educational leadership program at UMass Boston.
