The opening ceremony of the Liuzhou Iron and Steel Logistics Co was held on the morning of Dec 31, 2014.

As the largest integrated logistics company in the Xijiang River basin, the Liuzhou Iron and Steel Logistics Co was registered on June 25, 2014. It is a large enterprise offering services like cargo transport, steel storage, sales, deep processing, a logistics information consultancy and logistics management. It started its trial operation on Aug 15 and has delivered 2.5 million tons and sold 135,000 tons of steel products by the end of Nov 30, earning business income of 550 million yuan ($88.73 million) and profits of 24 million yuan.

Liuzhou Iron and Steel Group transports about 6 million tons of rolled steel and 2 million tons of iron-ore slag to Guangdong province and Eastern China using the Xijiang River every year. The Liuzhou Iron and Steel Logistics Company has therefore built a logistics information system using the Internet of Things, big data, cloud computing and other more advanced technologies to integrate social resources, expand the market and make important contributions to the modern logistics industry.
