Lanzhou city, in Gansu province, recently played host to the O2O (Online to Offline) Industrial Development Forum on Jan 21.

The forum was held at the China Gansu pavilion, which exhibits physical Gansu products sold in online marketplace Taobao.

The event invited more than 300 people to take part, including many e-commerce experts and O2O entrepreneurs.

The Gansu-based newspaper Western Economic Daily, reported that participants discussed issues revolving around e-commerce, Internet, big data, O2O and explored ways for traditional enterprises to achieve O2O transformation.

To promote e-commerce, Gansu province opened the special pavilion last November. The pavilion displays almost 3,000 types of products, according to the Western Economic Daily, and is aimed at helping around 200 companies and agricultural cooperatives broaden their distribution channels and developing online and offline businesses.
