The Queen of the Netherlands was spotted congratulating Shen Tiemei after the performance

CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- At 20:00 on June 16th local time, the entire main venue theatre of Holland Festival was conquered by Chinese culture with the new opera "Si Fan" jointly created by the "queen of Sichuan opera" Shen Tiemei and famous contemporary composer Guo Wenjing making Chinese culture reenter the view of world audience in a modern aesthetic way.

The whole performance is composed of two parts. First, what was shown was the 30-minute "Inner Landscape" - a documentary film directed by Dutch documetary film master Frank Scheffer by taking Guo Wenjing as the main line, which has gradually presented the long history of the Sichuan opera culture and its influence on the inner heart of Chinese people. Next, Shen Tiemei came onto the stage for performance, of which her 10-minute unaccompanied Sichuan opera singing made the entire audience fully intoxicated.
