CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- On May 11th, Chongqing media reported the story of Jiao Yuwei, a postgraduate graduated from Chongqing Technology and Business University who returned to her home town - Henan Province's Luoyang to open a roasted brain flower stall, arousing heated debates in society. A venture capital company in Shanghai expressed to her that it could provide a maximum amount of angel capital of five million. However, the postgraduate who had just graduated from the university recently made a decision – she refused the angel capital.

For this, Jiao expressed that the roasted brain flower stall had a lower requirement for captial compared with other venture projects that would need huge capital to support development.

"It just needs a stall of about five square metres and a set of equipment for making roasted brain flower to maintain the operation of a roasted brain flower stall," said Jiao. The project does not need huge capital to support it as she just wants to do the business in a small way with no intention of expansion at the moment, so she does not have a strong desire for capital. According to Jiao, now her roasted brain flower stall runs quite well with over 150 dishes of roasted brain flower sold and a turnover of nearly 2,000 yuan each day.

In addition, she has registered the "Ba Dao Jia Roasted Brain Flower" trademark and started to develop franchised stores via the teaching of the technique and the use of the trademark. Now, there are already two franchised stores in Luoyang, and she has earned over 70,000 yuan for the franchising fee only in one month. She said that she's negotiating with over 20 such stores now, of which six or seven have reached the franchising intention. (Translated by Tang Zhiqiang, Fathom Language Limited)
