The red telephone booth full of London style

CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- According to news from the organizing committee of the 2015 Chongqing Culture Industry Expo on August 20th, the British Consulate-General in Chongqing will bring multiple products with British style to the expo to publicize the charm of British culture in various aspects, such as music, food, fashion, and design.

"I believe the red telephone booths made a deep impression on quite a few friends at the opening ceremony of 2012 London Olympic Games. This time, we have directly moved the red telephone booths to the expo site." According to the staff at the News and Public Affairs Department of the British Consulate-General in Chongqing, while watching these telephone booths from close range, they can also enjoy such well-known British songs as “Someone Like You” when they pick up the phone. "British film and TV characters such as Harry Potter, Sherlock Holmes, and James Bond will also appear at the expo. At that time, the public not only can have close contact with them, but also can take group photos to mark the occasion."

In order to enhance citizens' enjoyment of the music of Scotland, the British Consulate-General has invited Scotland bagpipers to perform.

In addition, at the expo site, the public may even be able to taste authentic British foods such as shepherd's pies, jellied eels, and trifles. "Now, there are not many restaurants where one can taste authentic British foods in Chongqing, so we are contacting companies in Britain asking them to bring these authentic British foods to the expo site for Chongqing citizens to enjoy," said the staff, expressing that other British products, such as pipes and leather goods will also be brought to the site for the public.
