Featured Qiongyuan embroidered with Three Gorges landscape to debut at culture industry expo

CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- According to news from Shapingba District Culture Commission, Shapingba District will exhibit a series of intangible culture heritage products on an exhibition stand of 81 square metres at the culture industry expo. At that time, the public can see such intangible cultural heritage products as featured Qiongyuan embroidered with Three Gorges landscape, Grinded colour drawing lacquer craftworks, and boxwood carving crafts.

Qiongyuan Embroidery originated from Shu embroidery, and is a unique local cultural craft of Chongqing developed by integrating commonly-used stitches on the basis of traditional Shu embroidery, depicting Chongqing scenes, such as stilted buildings, Three Gorges landscapes, and Ciqikou households.

In addition, Shapingba District will also display characteristic wood products such as boxwood carving with a history of hundreds of years and Xiaolizi wood carving products.
