Xinhua News Agency's correspondent switches to educational business

Ran Wei, assistant president of New Channel International Education Group

CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- Born in Chongqing's Jiulongpo District in 1980, he once was a war correspondent in Baghdad who won the second prize of China News Award with "Iraq Holds 1st Post-war Official Parliamentary Election." He also once was a correspondent in the Washington Branch of Xinhua News Agency who posed questions to a spokesman from the US State Department. In 2013, he was awarded the MPA degree at Harvard Kennedy School. In 2014, Ran Wei who returned to China after his study abroad, threw himself into the education business and became the New Channel International Education Group's assistant president and general manager of the Overseas Study Service Centre.

Ran Wei, a 35-year-old young man, has had various glories and titles such as a Xinhua News Agency correspondent who won the second prize of China News Award, a war correspondent who has witnessed the Iraq War with his own eyes, a full scholarship master from Harvard University and the winner of the 2013 China Youth May 4th Medal. However, now, he has devoted himself to the education business and has a completely new identity – New Channel International Education Group’s assistant president and general manager of the Overseas Study Service Centre.
