Chongqing intercepts giant centipedes

On the morning of October 9th, staff members from Chongqing Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine intercepted two parcels with unknown centipedes and spiders.
After examination, a total of six giant centipedes (scientifically called Scolopendra galapagoensis), several small centipedes and three spiders were found in the two parcels.
According to related laws and regulations, any live animal or plant expressed from foreign countries will be disposed due to potential risks. (CQNEWS)
